Release notes
Videorc 0.17.0 Beta 1
Make one scene per open app and switch between them without a black frame, hide your screen behind a frosted still on every output with one key, and recording now says plainly when the disk is full or the folder can't be written.
Scenes for your apps, and Hide screen
- New scene… makes one scene per open app, and each scene follows its app's front window.
- Hide screen turns your screen into a frosted still on the recording, every stream and Clips.
- Switching between app scenes holds the last frame, so nothing flashes black.
- Record refuses a folder it can't write to before it starts, and a full disk is said plainly.
- Move to Trash keeps the recording's file name.
Scenes
- New scene… lists your open apps with a picture of each front window and makes one scene per app. A scene follows its app's front window and comes back when you quit and relaunch the app.
- Switching scenes changes the capture in place and holds the last frame until the new window's first frame, so nothing flashes black.
- The Scene page lists your saved scenes, then the built-in layouts. Drag to reorder. Keys, Stream Deck, the phone and agents can switch scenes.
Hide screen
- Press Control-Option-H, or use the button on Studio's Screen row, the Stream Manager or the command menu, to turn your screen into a frosted still on the recording, every stream, the Screen file and Clips.
Recording
- Record refuses a recordings folder it can't write to before it starts, instead of failing a moment later.
- When the disk fills during a take, Videorc says so plainly and keeps what was recorded. The low-space notice now shows when you press Record.
- A Record start that was refused shows as "Didn't start" in the Library, not as an empty MKV.
- Move to Trash keeps the recording's file name in the Trash.
Studio
- The Chat section appearing on air no longer shrinks the preview card.
- Settings → Shortcuts shows Space in Studio for Record, instead of Unassigned.
Go Live
- The performance check runs with the Clips ring on, so Check this computer works and an untouched stream can step down when the computer can't keep up.
Look
- The Liquid Chrome ground is a still again, with no drift.
