Live captions can now follow your voice almost instantly, and they are rolling out to Premium accounts.
Faster live captions
- Captions can stream your words as you speak instead of waiting for three-second chunks.
- Instant captions are turning on for Premium accounts gradually.
- Until they reach your account, captions say plainly that they run in 3-second chunks.
Captions that keep up
Live captions used to wait for each three-second stretch of speech before transcribing it, so they ran a few seconds behind you. Videorc can now stream your microphone to transcription as you speak, so words appear while you are still saying them and a line settles moments after you pause. The same captions reach your stream, your recording's subtitles and the captioned copy.
Rolling out
Instant captions are turning on for Premium accounts in stages. Until they reach yours, captions keep working the way they do today, and the Captions page says they run in 3-second chunks. If streaming ever drops, captions fall back to chunks on their own and keep going.
