Live captions show on vertical streams too, and toasts stay clear

  • Live captions burn on your horizontal stream and your vertical stream, sized for a phone screen and clear of TikTok, Shorts and Reels UI.
  • Turning captions on mid-stream still reaches both videos, and the recording carries the captions when a vertical destination is on.
  • Success, warning, error and info toasts keep the same glass panel. Only the small icon changes colour.

Live captions on vertical streams

When you streamed to a vertical destination (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram) at the same time as a horizontal one, live captions could show in the app and never reach the video. Turning captions on after you went live had the same gap.

Captions now burn on both streams. The vertical captions are sized for a phone screen and sit clear of the TikTok, Shorts and Reels button bands. The recording also carries the captions while a vertical destination is on, so you do not get a second captioned copy. The Captions controls say so.

Toasts stay clear

A warning or error toast used to wash the whole panel with amber or red. Every toast is the same glass as the rest of the app. Success, warning, error and info only colour the 16 px icon.
