Layout editor

Arrange your scene directly on the canvas in the Layout tab.

• Drag and resize. Grab your camera or screen and move it, or pull one of its handles to resize it. Guides snap to the edges and center of the canvas and to your other sources. Hold Shift to move along one axis, hold Option to place something without snapping, and press Escape to cancel a drag.
• Exact numbers. Position and size fields show where a source sits and how big it is, in percent of the canvas with the pixel size next to it. Type a value and press Enter. Lock the aspect ratio to resize without distorting.
• Freeform. Choose Freeform next to the layout presets to place your sources anywhere. Nothing moves when you switch, and your arrangement is kept when you come back to it and after a relaunch. Pick a preset to return to it.
• See your real background. The canvas now shows the background your scene uses, so what you arrange is what you record.

Editing is available when you are not recording or streaming.

Your whole screen on the vertical stream

When you stream horizontal and vertical at the same time, the vertical stream used to crop your screen to its middle. It now shows your whole screen by default. Pick the Camera bottom scene and your camera fills the space below it.

• Change it while you are live. The Vertical stream card lets you pick the vertical scene, switch the screen between Fill and Fit, and choose whether it follows your horizontal scene. Changes go to the vertical stream right away and never touch the horizontal one.
• Vertical recording too. Vertical mode in the Studio has the same Fill and Fit choice for your screen.
• One key per destination. Videorc now stops you from going live when two destinations share one stream key, because the second one would stay offline, and tells you to create a second stream key in YouTube Studio.

Orcle

Co-host is now called Orcle. Nothing else changes: Orcle reads your live chat, groups the questions people are actually asking, and drafts replies you approve. It never posts without you.

Fixes and polish

• A takeover no longer stays on after you quit, and it never leaves your microphone muted when you open Videorc again.
• Refresh in Sources now finds a camera you plugged in after opening Videorc.
• The mixer says Muted when your microphone is muted, so flat bars never look like a broken microphone.
• Quick settings are simpler: the layout menu is gone (the Scenes gallery below does the same), the microphone menu has just your device and Mute, and the source menu no longer links to Sources.
• The corners behind the docked preview are rounded to match the video.
• In Assets, adjust the active background with Adjust style on its tile.
• The mixer no longer shows a System audio row. System audio capture is not available yet.
• Cleaner wording across the app.
