Videorc 0.9.2 Beta 1

0.9.2 fixes the bug that left camera and microphone capture dead in the installed app — and it's the first release delivered through the in-app updater.

Camera and microphone fixed in the installed app

  • Camera and microphone capture now work in the installed app.
  • First release delivered automatically through the in-app updater.
  • More reliable native preview when starting and switching sources.

If Videorc 0.9.1 showed you a black camera or a silent microphone even though permissions looked right in System Settings, this release is the fix.

The capture fix

The installed app was missing a piece of its macOS security configuration, so the system quietly denied camera and microphone access no matter what you granted. 0.9.2 ships correctly configured, and our release checks now verify this on every future build before it can go out.

If your camera still looks blocked after updating: toggle Camera off and on for Videorc once in System Settings → Privacy & Security (the old build may have left a stale denial behind).

Delivered by the updater

This is the first release that reaches you through Settings → About & updates — no re-download needed. If you're on 0.9.0 or 0.9.1, check for updates and you'll be offered 0.9.2.

Also improved

  • The native preview is more dependable when launching the app and when switching sources — fewer blank frames, faster recovery.
  • Recording with image/asset backgrounds is more robust.
