Release notes
Videorc 0.9.0 Beta 1
Videorc's first beta brings local screen, camera, and microphone recording to macOS in a signed, notarized app.
The first Videorc beta for macOS
- Record your screen, camera, and microphone locally on macOS.
- Native detached preview window for setting up your layout before you record.
- Signed and notarized DMG, downloaded through your Videorc account.
This is the first Videorc beta — the foundation of the local recording studio.
What you can do
- Record locally. Capture your screen, camera, and microphone straight to disk. Pick sources, arrange your layout, and record — no streaming account required.
- Set up with a real preview. The detached native preview window shows exactly what the recording will capture, so you can check framing and layout before going live to disk.
- Install with confidence. The app ships as a signed and notarized macOS DMG with everything bundled — no separate downloads or command-line setup.
Requirements and notes
- macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple Silicon first.
- Downloads are available to signed-in Videorc accounts.
- macOS will ask for camera, microphone, and screen-recording permissions on first launch — that's expected.
- Auto-updates and Windows builds are not part of this first beta.
